With pomp and dignity, city residents remembered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice with traditional Memorial Day rites throughout the weekend. Thousands of residents braved the below-average temperatures and damp winds to take part in the procession.

Saturday afternoon, the 11th addition to the Veterans Walk of Honor was dedicated with new bricks added, naming those who served in various conflicts. The Soderman Memorial as well as the various memorials, representing various wars throughout the city, were bedecked with wreaths on Monday morning prior to the annual parade up Campbell Avenue.
