If there was one facade that served as an iconic reminder of Savin Rock Amusement Park for those of a certain age, it had to be the clown face that bedecked the Laff in the Dark that stood on Beach Street. Since January, the state, and particularly the coastline, has experienced higher-than-normal precipitation. Last week was a good example, as below- average temperatures kept jackets at the ready, and people walked around with a bumbershoot in case of rain. This was taken over the weekend.

“Silver’s Belle’s” met for a reunion following the closure of the store. They were familiar faces to longtime patrons.

The Silver’s Fountain was a city landmark for 62 years before the decision was made to close it. It was missed by many.
