Growing up in Allingtown: Great! The Forest Theater and the Allingtown Fire House were two landmark locations for kids growing up in the Borough of Allingtown. The theater was demolished three years ago to help make way for realigning traffic. The firehouse is no longer the headquarters of the Allingtown Fire Dept. The department came under city auspices six years ago by vote of the borough’s residents. The building is still an important meeting place, however.
