Fall prevention class
The Center for Disability Rights invites the public to a free event for a Balance and Fall Prevention class. The public can either attend March 12, from 10 to 11, or March 16 from 3 to 4. The classes will be held at Center for Disability Rights, 369 Highland St. The exercise class will focus on improving balance, coordination and strength. Used Book Sale
The First Congregational Church, 464 Campbell Ave., will host the monthly used book sale and clothes closet on Saturday, March 28, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. As usual there will be a large selection of greatly used books, including many children’s books, and wonderful low prices for clothing for the family. Garden Club confab
Bradley Point Garden Club of West Haven will hold their March meeting at noon on Tuesday, March 17, at Ora Mason Library, 260 Benham Hill Road. The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee invites you to attend the Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade Ball on March 7, at Anthony’s Ocean View, New Haven. Tuesday, May 19 – The Newport Playhouse “Sex Please We’re Sixty” Join us for this senior comedy. A local lothario gets his pills mixed up with his ladies’ blue pill. He has all the symptoms of menopause along with hot flashes and mood swings! Cost $97 includes transportation and gratuity with Surf & Turf lunch at the theatre! Bus leaves Savin Rock Conference Center 8:45 a.m. Departs Newport approximately 4:45 p.m.

Student Loans
The Seth Haley Memorial Loan Fund of West Haven provides eligible college students with loans of up to $2500 to help students finish their post high school education.
Applicants must be West Haven residents who have completed two or more years of college or post-secondary work or be in their final two years of advanced work. Any West Haven resident attending college or a post high school professional, technical or trade school can be eligible for a loan. Repayments do not begin, and no interest will be charged until one year after graduation. If you are interested in making an application for a loan, please call Ralph Lawson, (203) 934-6442.
