Vets Museum Open House, Nov. 12
The West Haven Veterans Museum and Learning Center will be holding a Veterans Day Open House on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm with light refreshments. Come and enjoy a tour of the museum. We have been adding some new displays and would love to share them with you! The museum is across from the West Haven Train Station at 30 Hood Terrace.
Band looking for new members
The Ormond Street Community Band needs a drummer, clarinetist and baritone player. The band rehearses Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon at the UCC Church in the Devon Hall at 30 Ormond St. The music includes Swing era, music of every decade, seasonal and holiday music.
The band is directed by Linda Whittaker, BS in Mus.Ed and MFA and 6th year from UConn, Since 2002. This band was formerly the Note-ables at the Milford Senior Center.

Senior Center plans trip
The West Haven Senior Center will offer its final trip of 2022 to the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville on Nov. 9. No casino packages are offered for the trip, which costs $30. Payment is due Oct. 14.

The bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. from a location to be announced and leave at 3 p.m. from the casino.
Stamp Club resumes meetings
The New Haven Stamp Club meets every Tuesday evening at 62 Clark Road in North Haven at 7:30 p.m. There is a stamp and coin show the 4th Sunday of every month at the Annex at 554 Woodward Ave. East Haven from 9:00 to 2:30 p.m. All are welcome for both events.
Coin Club relocates meeting site
The Liberty Coin Club has rescheduled and relocated its shows scheduled for November and December 2022 due to renovations scheduled thru the end of this year at the Hilton Garden Inn in Milford.
The new location and dates for the shows will be at The Courtyard by Marriott on Woodmont Road, Milford, Sunday, Nov. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 11.
As always anyone interested in Coin collecting and Numismatics is welcome to attend. Admission is free.
