Soup and Trivia, Feb. 19
On Sunday Feb. 19, the Historical Society will sponsor a special “Soups On” luncheon at the Poli House from 12-2 p.m. Soups will be served along with breads, muffins, Pastries enough to take the chill out of the cold February air. Coffee and light desserts will be available followed by a ‘Trivia Game’ with questions on West Haven and other historical topics. Prizes will be awarded to winners. Participation in the game will be optional.
Cost is $15 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and may be paid at the door the day of the event.

Seniors plan Aqua Turf trip
The West Haven Senior Center will offer a bus trip to the Aqua Turf Club in Southington on March 14 to see the award-winning McClean Avenue Band and Irish step dancers perform.
The trip costs $120 and includes transportation and corned beef and cabbage and baked scrod served family style. It also includes a glass of wine or beer, coffee, and doughnuts, as well as door prizes.
Payment is due Feb. 10.

The bus will depart at 9:45 a.m. from the Savin Rock Conference Center parking lot, 6 Rock St., and leave at 3:45 p.m. from Aqua Turf.
Foxwoods trip, April 12
The West Haven Senior Center will run a bus trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard on April 12.
No casino packages are offered at the moment.
The trip costs $35. Payment is due March 15.
Enjoy shopping at the Tanger Outlets, featuring popular stores like Eddie Bauer, Crocs and H&M.
The bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. from the Savin Rock Conference Center parking lot, 6 Rock St., and leave at 3 p.m. from Foxwoods.

Bradley Point gardeners meet
The Bradley Point Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Ora Mason Library, 260 Benham Hill Road at noon. Please bring your own lunch, hot chocolate will be provided. New members are always welcome to join. For more information, call Dawn, (203) 932-4619.
Liberty Coin Club sets schedule
The West Haven Liberty Coin Club announces its show schedule for 2023 and its new location. Due to scheduled renovations at its recent location our shows will be relocated to The Courtyard By Marriott hotel located behind the Outback Restaurant on Marsh Hill Road in Orange Ct., just off Exit 41 off I-95.
The 2023 schedule is: March 12, April 2, June 11, Sept. 10, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. Show hours are 9am to 3pm.
Garden Club confab, Feb. 13
The West Haven Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 13, 12:30 p.m. at the Ora Mason Library, 260 Benham Hill Road. Members will bring their lunch, and afterwards a business meeting will take place. The program for this month will be presenter and member Iole Apicella who will demonstrate making masks with hearts, flowers in conjunction with Mardi gras.
