First Congregational Church on the Green will host an Easter Festival and Craft Fair on Saturday, March 17 from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Vendors are sought for the event. As a nod to St Patrick’s Day, lunch will include corned beef sandwiches, beef stew, and creamy potato soup. Along with our vendors, this year’s festival includes a silent auction, raffles, a bake sale, kids’ egg tree and crafts, our multi-room book sale, the White Elephant sale, the SERRV Shop, and pictures with Easter Bunny. Elm City Choir date
The Elm City Girls’ Choir will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 7 (snow date Feb. 28) at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of West Haven, 464 Campbell Ave. Proceeds will benefit the West Haven Public Library. The Lions Club of West Haven will be hosting its first painting event on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m., 727 Campbell Ave., to benefit the American Diabetes Association. WH Garden Club
The West Haven Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 8 at St. Louis Church on Bull Hill Road at 11:30 a.m. After the meeting, a soup luncheon and dessert will follow and our program will be making bird house feeders.
The West Haven Historical Society will hold its annual Mid-Winter Brunch on Sunday, Jan. 28 from 11-1, at Duffy’s Tavern.
The brunch will include Eggs Benedict, home fries, chicken and assorted pastries. Tea and coffee will also be available. Cost is $25 per person.

The Seth Haley Memorial Loan Fund of West Haven provides eligible college students with loans of up to $2500 to help students finish their post high school education. Applicants must be West Haven residents who have completed two or more years of college or post-secondary work or be in their final two years of advanced work.
