Annual Luau
The West Haven Italian-American Association will hold its Annual Hawaiian Luau at 85 Chase Lane on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at 6:30. A sit-down Hawaiian dinner, from Cusano By Maria, with open bar, will be served at 6:30, followed by DJ Chick’s music from 8-12. Cost is $45.00. Used Book Sale
The First Congregational Church, 464 Campbell Ave., will host its monthly Used Book Sale and SERRV Shop opening on Saturday, July 21, from 9 until 2. As usual there will be a large selection of books available, including many children’s books, and hand made items from around the world at low prices. Come and get your summer reading at low prices. VBS at St. John’s
Vacation Bible Camp for all kids entering kindergarten through grade 5, will be held in the hall and on the grounds of St. John Vianney Church, on July 23-27.
The camp is from 9-12:30. Campers will rotate to centers of games, stories/science, music, and crafts. The cost is $25. For more information or to obtain a registration form, please contact [email protected].
Doo Wop Dance
The West Haven Italian-American Civic Associaton will host a Doo Wop Dance at 85 Chase Lane on Saturday, July 28, at 7. Music id by DJ Charles till midnight. Free Beer, Wine or Soda. Mt. Carmel Feast
St. John XXIII Catholic Parish will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Saturday July 14 in St. Louis Church, 89 Bull Hill Lane. The celebration includes the Blessing & Investiture of the Brown Scapular, a procession with the statue, vigil mass with Coronation of Our Lady, and ends with a pasta dinner in the church hall.

Vendors sought
Vendors and Not-for-profits Wanted: July 19-22, and July 26-28 for the new Shoreline Fest w/ Marenna Amusements at the picturesque West Haven shore. Along with the West Haven High School Band Parents Association Craft Village of craft vendors and not-for-profits at Old Grove Park, there will be a Grand Carousel and food vendors. In the nearby lawn at Captain Thomas Boulevard and Oak St there will be a midway and a large array of bigger carnival rides.
