The West Haven Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Feb. 14 at St. Louis Church on Bull Hill Road at 11:30 a.m. After the meeting, a soup luncheon and dessert will follow and our program will be on or off due to the weather.

Senior trips slated
F. Senior and Friends has planned a trip to Atlantic City May 22-24 at Resorts Casino. The package includes two din- ners, a show and $25 coupon for slot play. Price is $279 for a double, $269 for a triple and $389 for a single.

St. Patrick trip
Join the West Haven Senior Center for the following trip: Thursday, March 14 – The Log Cabin St. Patrick’s Day Celebration $67 per person Entertainment by Gerry Malone and The Lads playing Irish classics like “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling and “Danny Boy.” Menu includes welcome hors d’oeuvers, complimentary glass of wine or beer, rolls and butter, Irish soda bread, Irish stew, traditional corned beef dinner, Bailey’s Irish Crème cake, coffee and tea. Bus leaves Savin Rock Conference Center 9 a.m. Departs Log Cabin at 3:15 p.m.

Soup and Song
New Life Church at 255 Jones Hill Road, is featuring the sounds of Patti Dahl and Heartsong at the Soup and Song First Friday Fellowship on Friday, Feb. `. Soup will be served starting at 6 and the concert begins at 7. A collection will be taken for the band. New Life Church is on the corner of South St. and Jones Hill Road., with plenty of parking and handicap accessibility.
Al-Anon group

Coin show
The Liberty Coin Show is back at the Elks Club, 265 Main St., on the third Sunday of the month. Buy and sell your coins. The organizers invite hobbyists to be part of the many displays. Student loans
The Seth Haley Memorial Loan Fund of West Haven provides eligible college students with loans of up to $2500 to help students finish their post high school education. Applicants must be West Haven residents who have completed two or more years of college or post-secondary work or be in their final two years of advanced work. Any West Haven resident attending college or a post high school professional, technical or trade school can be eligible for a loan. Repayments do not begin, and no interest will be charged until one year after graduation. Slater fete
A Retirement Social for Bill “Slats” Slater will be hosted on Monday Feb. 25, from 5-8 p.m. at Duffy’s Tavern 241 Campbell Ave.
