On Sunday, Dec. 7 from 4-9:30 p.m., the Allingtown Volunteer Fire Association will assist Santa hand-deliver gifts to good little boys and girls. If you would like Santa to visit your home, please follow these instructions:
1). Wrap a gift of your choice (nothing breakable, valuable or bigger than a shoebox) in Christmas paper with the child’s name on the gift.
2). Put the gift in a black garbage bag and affix a sheet of paper with the child’s full name, address and phone number on the bag.
3). Drop the package off at the City of West Haven Allingtown Fire Department Headquarters, 20 Admiral Street, West Haven.
Collection dates and times are: Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 2 and 3 from 6-8 p.m.’
The AVFA will charge $10 for the first gift, $5 for the second gift and $2 for additional gifts. Cash donations will be collected at the time of drop off. Donations can also be made via Venmo at: @allingtownvfa.
Santa will make up to 50 stops to Allingtown addresses, so early signups are encouraged.
Due to the number of stops and limited space, the volunteers are unable to make special requests for delivery times or large packages. Please make sure the child or children are at the residence at the time of delivery.
