Republican Mayoral Candidate, Barry Lee Cohen, has announced a series of Town Hall Meetings for Savin Rock Communities residents to provide his team’s vision and plans to Change West Haven for the Better. Town hall locations with question-and-answer sessions include:
Tuesday, Oct. 3, 5:30 pm: John Prete;
Thursday, Oct. 5, 5:30 pm: Morrissey Manor;
Thursday, Oct. 12, 5:30 pm: Union School;
Saturday, October 14, 1- noon: Breakfast with Barry. – Surfside Lobby area
Featuring a discussion on “A Referendum on Change,” Cohen will be tailoring the town halls to address the specific concerns of each location ranging from Safety issues and Changing the Culture of City Hall, to Economic Development, and Improving the Quality of Life for every senior, veteran, and family. Additionally, the town halls will address infrastructure and what Cohen has termed, “The War on Blight.”
“This series of town halls is an extension of the dozens of “Unity in the Community,” meetings I’ve held with neighbors throughout our city. In every instance and after 30-plus years of one-party governance, Westies demand real change and true leadership. They desire partnership and collaboration, not political patronage and partisanship that has resulted in broken promises, as well as a lack of accountability and accessibility to taxpayers,” Cohen said.
