In the CDG Girls Division, CDG3 CT Pest Elimination defeated CDG-1 H& R Block Green Tigers, 3-1. The Tigers were led by Maryorie Hernadez, Maryangle Cruz, and Nada El Mouki with one goal each. Sarah Monti played a great in goal for the Tigers.
In another game in the CDG Division, the Connecticut Pest Control Dragons, defeated the Stars Ice Cream, 4-3. The Dragons were led by Caydance Hill and Nada Elmoyki with 2 goals each. Maryorie Hernandez and Sarah Montiel played well sharing duties in goal.
The Oyster River Energy Rockers won their game, 2-1, over the H & R Block. Both goals were scored by Juliana Mancini . Emily Pruit worked the goal with 16 saves. Great soccer knowledge was on display by Asia Ford working well on def .
In the GB Dvision, GB3 played GB, losing, 5-3. For GB3 team, Josiah Soto had a great overall performance with a goal. Alexzander Jones and Nylah O’Gilvie played well for the Orange Tigers.
In action in the FG Division, Cappetta’s Italian Imports Red Emojis put up a good fight against the Apple Rehab Orange team this weekend, despite an 8-3 loss. Defense was led by Jocelyn Kenny, Giada Jimenez and Abby Forsyth. Leila Lancaster scored for the team.
Meanwhile in the CD Boys Division, the Green Knights played an excellent game on Saturday as they defeated the Maroon team by a score of 11-3. Myles Ligon scored 7 goals, Joseph Lakaj had 3 and Saifallah Salih scored 1. The Green Knights’ Jonathan Cervantes, Isiah Hampton, Seon Lora and Santiago Rios held the defense together and helped secure the win.
In another CDB game, the Red Bulls lost to CDB3, 6-5. Great soccer skills were on display by Stephen Paul and David Christiansen. Seth Laudano and Adam Boulguid were outstanding on defense, chipping in on the other side of the ball.
Great action also happened for the girls travel teams in West Haven as the following teams had a successful weekend. The Elite Soccer Camps U-12 girls travel team played two games this weekend, winning both. On Saturday, the girls traveled to Southington, winning, 6-2. Isabelle Nagle, Cynthia Burns and Ava Murphy all played a great game on defense, while Abigail Phelan created a few scoring chances for the Westies, scoring one and setting up her teammates on a few others. Brooke Flaherty scored as well. Brooke Throm and Josephina Lakaj also played a very strong game.
On Sunday, the girls hosted Oxford and won, 6-1. Summer Krajcir was strong on defense and in the midfield. Camryn Flaherty anchored the defense, and Camryn Beauvais opened the scoring with the first of her two goals. Olivia Trenchard and Ariana Izzo dominated the midfield, and Sofia Derosa played well in goal.
The West Haven U-11 girls Lightning travel team traveled to Hamden on Saturday, and came away 2-0 winners. Niamh Chesson and Sophie Mazuroski were stellar on defense, while Ashlynn Trenchard hustled in midfield and drew the foul that set up Jaylyn Powell’s free kick goal. Etta Funke passed well, including the pass that set up Alexandria Nunes’ goal late in the game to secure the win for the Westies.
The West Haven U-11 girls Thunder team played home against Orange on Saturday, and won, 2-0. Ciara Harp picked up both goals, and Jasmine Trigueros and Amyah Kelly also played well. Jayden Braaker and Llyanna Griffith-Waite stopped a few Orange plays to preserve the win for West Haven.
