
In celebration of Italian Heritage Month, the West Haven Republican Town Committee has selected Domenic Broccoli, a long-time West Haven resident and owner of Patty and Son, LLC, as West Haven’s Republican Italian-American of the Year. He will be honored on Oct. 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. at West Haven Republican Town Committee headquarters, 315 Morgan Lane. Cost is $15 per person.
“Domenic is a beloved figure in our community and he is known for his unwavering work ethic and generous spirit. His dedication to helping others is a shining example of selflessness and true character,” said the release announcing the selection.
Born into a family committed to public service—his mother served as secretary to former Mayor Bob Johnson, and his father was a councilman. A proud husband, father, and businessman, he serves on the Seniors Commission and is a sponsor of VFW Post 9422, as well as by donates thousands of gallons of heating oil to various organizations’ fundraising efforts to help those in need.
“His extensive experience on the City Council and other committees showcases his commitment to making West Haven a better place for all. He is excited about regaining his seat in the 4th District, which he once held,” organizers said.
Guests will enjoy viewing memorabilia from the Rat Pack and Wise Guy and gangster films. Light Italian fare and beverages will be served. “Wise Guy” attire is encouraged. Connect with friends as we honor Domenic’s achievements.
