Social Justice crowd shows it is neither social, nor just
It has not been a good summer for those who espouse Left Wing ideas. Not only has the pesky “Russian Collusion” story faded into oblivion, thanks to facts that belie the narrative, and a forensic audit done by IT experts that concluded the information leaked most likely came from inside the DNCC, but also the rejection of the “Resist” movement that has an anti-American agenda that goes beyond who is residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Add to the bad summer the kerfuffle that erupted at PC-infected Google over the internal member of a now-ex-employee, and people are starting to have a conversation the social justice warriors were hoping the nation would never have.
One of the tenets of the current Left Wing ideology is the belief that men and women are basically the same, save the anatomical issue, and that sexual roles (we hesitate to use the much abused “gender”) are the result of sociological and cultural constructs. One of the major sub-tenets, then, is that trans-gender people must be referred to and interacted with in the identity they see themselves, not the one biology has determined.
Scientists have cautioned politicians and those espousing these beliefs that enabling the confusion of those with gender-identity problems is not in the best interest of society, nor of the individuals, especially.
The science in this case seems to be clear, but rather than bow to those who might be in the know, the social justice crowd would do what they do best: vilify those who disagree with their positions.
Gender identity politics is just the latest in a series of the slicing and dicing of American society to create more aggrieved groups that would “radically transform” society away from its European, Judeo-Christian roots. The elites know better, particularly those with Ivy League or similar degrees, and they will lead the rabble to a better world.
Former Google employee James Demore, no alt-right conservative, found out what happens when some heretic questions the dogma of the Radical Left: they prove him right by their actions.
Damore’s “sin” was he questioning of the Google hiring policy and culture that takes the Social Justice/PC ideology as its corporate business model and attempts to show how that policy does not take into consideration certain scientific and sociological data, data which might, at least in part, answer some of their questions.
To Google, the lack of a minority, or any of its subsets was the result of an oppressive society that seeks to keep the aforementioned minorities in second-class status.
Damore, through a well reasoned and factually backed analysis, showed the dogmatic approach used by the corporate heads and assumed within the corporation’s business culture, is blinded by that self-same dogmatism.
There are real and hard-wired differences between men and women and those contribute to the decisions they make, the career choices they consider, and the lifestyle eventually begun.
Proving the dictum, “Scratch a Progressive, find a fascist,” Google did what fascists do. They fired him for espousing gender stereotypes. Ironically, the people at Google said they value inclusiveness and diversity. Obviously, not the diversity that comes with having ideas not in conformity with its own.
Damore’s memo, called a manifesto by the mainstream media (which it wasn’t), has kindled a discussion in the country, and it is one that should be taking place. The Greek philosophers believed in things called “universals,” those things which made things as they are. Another word is “prototypes.” What made “cow” a “cow” was the typical way the question was posed.
The science seems to indicate there are intrinsic differences between the sexes, and those differences are what makes us who we are.
It’s not a discussion the Left would like, but due to its overreach here and elsewhere, it is a discussion that we must have.
