Dear Eleanore Turkington:
I would like to draw attention to the spectators of the baseball and softball at the high school once again parking on the sidewalk in the fire lane by the fence.
The sidewalk is getting ruined and the people who use it for walking have to squeeze past or walk on the busy roadway.
We have a very large new parking lot at the school that can accommodate all of the cars and make it safer for all.
Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Dear Gripe Vine Readers:
I received this letter back in the late spring. Although I have other complaints and issues to work on, I kept plugging away on the one below. because it illustrated a safety issue.
I continued to refer this problem to various councilpersons and after giving them adequate time to respond, the issues were just not solved. As you can see in this letter, there is a safety hazard here that require attention immediately. Councilpersons have been very cooperative but there are occasions when prompt attention should be followed to correct hazardous conditions.
A brief note to City Council members: First, thank you for responding to Gripe Vine and for making efforts to follow up on my reader’s complaints., if you leave an issue with the city, please try to get back to Gripe Vine with an indication that the problem is going to be investigated. My readers would like to know their taxes are helping maintain valuable city property.
A visit from a police officer to this site would encourage visitors to the baseball field to park safely and remove the hazard for those visiting the game at the park.
Dear Eleanore Turkington:
Many people who ride on the bus to the senior center, don’t wear masks over their masks on their faces only under their chins. The driver has signs that say you have to wear a mask to cover your face. Still people don’t! They cough and sneeze in the air on the bus.

Dear SJ:
Mask wearing regulations have been changing. If the bus signs indicate, “Wear A Mask,” let’s wear it!
