I contacted West Haven’s Assessor, Ann Marie Gradoia CCMA, who promptly responded to your questions with, “Thank you for your inquiry. Addressing out-of-state registered vehicles is a priority for both the mayor and me.
In March, the Mayor and I met with a company to discuss the process and pricing for identifying these vehicles.
With the recent approval of the mayor’s budget by MARB, we have issued an RFP to hire a company to identify vehicles that are not properly registred in West Haven. We plan to start this project sometime this summer.

I am contacting you because of numerous potholes on my street. I have called Public Works and they keep saying they will have someone come ouut and look at them. They are on the corner of Rangely Street and Enright. These holes need to be filled. The erosion is also in the gutters and the curbing is also broken up. This street hasn’t been paved in years.

I notified two Council people in your district and Dawn Callahan, 6th District, suggested you contact Public Works, with whom you have had no success. However you can try Public Works again at sandella@westhaven-ct.gov and komfort@westhaven-ct.gov this way your name will be on record twice for your complaint. Please get back to me if you don’t see your complaint completed.
Gripe Vine Readers: I have received a number of complaints from residents in the Ocean Avenue (Beach area) of illegitimate parking on side streets with clearly marked signs prohibiting beach parking on residential streets.
