The city’s annual Hanukkah menorah lighting on the Green is set for 4 p.m. Monday.
The lighting will mark the fifth night of the Jewish Festival of Lights, an eight-day commemoration of rededication of the Temple by the Maccabees after their victory over the Syrians.
The Jewish holiday begins at sundown today.
Monday’s ceremony, led by Mayor Dorinda Borer, will include a blessing by Rabbi Schneur Wilhelm of Chabad of Milford-Hebrew Congregation of Woodmont.
The public is invited to the celebration, which will feature a three-piece band.
