Holiday Tradition
Thanksgiving Day means a lot of things: giving thanks for the many blessings we have, enjoying family and friends, and, of course, football. And longtime readers know the two teams grace our front page as they have for the better part of 50 years. For the local teams the holiday means the end of the regular season, and the possibility of more competition in the state tournament, set to begin Tuesday. West Haven played Fairfield Prep at Prep last night, while Notre Dame heads to Hamden for the annual Green Bowl to do battle with rival Hamden High.
