West Haven Girls Basketball wrapped up the regular season with games Friday night at Seth Haley.
The Gunning Law Huskies took home the regular season crown with a 34-17 win over the Shoreline Dental Cardinals. Taryn Walker, Finley Gunning and Cashlin O’Neil exploded for a combined 20 points. Haleigh McCarthy, Sophie McFarland, Molly Gunning and Samira Huckaby also helped on the offensive end for the Huskies. Madden Evangeliste had 11 points for the Cardinals and Lily Granata and Dnavia Pittman also chipped in with points.
The Rings End Lumber Bruins wrapped up the second seed in the upcoming playoffs with a 27-8 win over the Napoli Parts Eagles. Noelle Lawrence finished with 12 points and Sara Went and Jada Turner combined for eight points for the Bruins. The balanced Bruins’ attack also was helped by scoring from Camilla Murphy, Abby Wynus and Neveah Stegall.
Ciara Harp netted 10 points and Jaecianna Mitchell added four to power the West Haven Drug and Alcohol Task Force Panthers to an 18-14 win over the Prospect Beach Fish and Game Blue Devils. The Panthers will be the third seed in the tournament. Hayden Holm and Bella Antonucci also starred for the Panthers. The Blue Devils received scoring from Micah Pullen, Savannah McGorty and Heaven McKinney.
League playoffs start Friday at Seth Haley School. Semifinal games will be Wednesday, with the championship game taking place on Feb. 22 at 7:15 p.m.
