West Haven Public Schools will begin kindergarten registration for the 2026 – 2027 school year in March. Registration is open to children who will turn five years old on or before September 1, 2026.
Registration will take place at each child’s home school. Families can determine their assigned home school by address by visiting whschools.org.

Tuesday, March 3 – Mackrille School
Thursday, March 5 – Seth Haley School
Tuesday, March 10 – Pagels School
Thursday, March 12 – Washington School
Tuesday, March 17 – Forest School
Thursday, March 19 – Savin Rock School
Registration Process:
Call (203) 937-4300 ext. 7118 to schedule a registration appointment.
Check your email for instructions to set up a Parent Portal account and complete all required online forms.
Upload or bring the following required documents to your scheduled appointment:
Two current proofs of residency, such as a mortgage statement or lease with the landlord’s name and phone number, and a current utility bill dated within the last 30 days
Child’s birth certificate, long form only accepted
Current health records, including immunizations and most recent physical
Please note that all students must have a physical examination before beginning school.
