Stress happens to all of us. Up to 90% of all visits to the doctor’s office are stress-related, according to Harvard. Stress can be considered as much a risk factor for disease as smoking.
The West Haven Library, 300 Elm St., is offering “10 Tips to Manage Stress,” on Saturday, Dec., 7 from noon to 1 p.m. at the main library. The cost is free.
Dr. Wendy Hurwitz will answer the questions, “Why can two people be in the same situation and respond to stress differently?” or “Can going through stressful times without stress be a learned skill?”
