The week of June 6 has been designated “Medicare Fraud Prevention Week. Seniors have been the target of many calls and solicitations looking for Social Security numbers, leading to theft and hardship.
Carolyn Sires, New Haven County Fraud, Waste and Abuse liaison has alerted seniors to be aware there is someone to contact if they suspect fraud concerning their Medicare. Sires can be contacted at (203) 606 3893.
