New Haven Bank announced a new branch will be coming to West Haven. The bank has plans to expand late October to early November, 2023 with a new location at 636 Campbell Ave. The new branch will feature a convenient drive-thru and ample parking, according to the bank’s statement.
“As a CDFI (Certified Financial Development Institution) since 2012, New Haven Bank is a mission-driven institution committed to economically underserved communities. The bank remains focused on continued stability and growth in areas, like West Haven, that are not adequately represented by community-centric lending and relationship banking,” the announcement stated.
It’s CEO, meanwhile, explains the goals of the new office.
“New Haven Bank conducts more than 60% of our business in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods,” said Maureen A. Frank, the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Whether this takes the form of loans for small businesses or savings products for individuals, we work to help every member of the communities we serve to become more financially self-sufficient and successful. We strive to be a catalyst for economic growth in New Haven and nearby neighborhoods, and we’re proud to be bringing community banking to West Haven.”
