The M & S Lawncare Panthers capped an undefeated season with a 20-6 win over the Prospect Beach Club Blue Devils to capture the West Haven Girls Basketball championship Friday night at Seth Haley.
Jasmine Smith started the scoring for the Panthers to give them an early lead. Ciera Harp and Jayda Stewart chipped in with hoops to give the Panthers a 6-0 halftime lead. Michelle Tompkins, Jasmine Smith and Jaecianna Mitchell opened the game up after the half with key hoops. Summer Krajcir and Camryn Howard sealed the win with late scoring and key rebounds.
The Blue Devils were led on the offensive end by D’Lyana Dixon and Siah Spence.

Members of the Blue Devils are Ella Morgan, Jessica Heaven, Siah Spence, D’Lyana Dixon, Bella Quiroz, Courtney Gorske, Angelica Riley, Candyce Cox, Talia Decresenzo, Evita Tocci, Heaven McKinney, and Abby Giaquinto.
The sixth seeded Blue Devils reached the finals as D’Lyana Dixon hit a game winning jumper in the third overtime to outlast the second seeded Gunning Law Huskies, 16-15. Siah Spence, Ella Morgan and Jessica Heaven led the scoring for the Blue Devils. The Huskies got scoring from Araiya Smith, Molly Gunning, Chloe Whelan and Finley Gunning.
The Panthers reached the championship by outlasting the Lacobelle Law Bruins, 25-15. The Panthers were led on offensive end by Summer Krajcir, Ciera Harp and Michelle Tompkins. The Bruins scoring came from Jaelyn Powell, Noelle Lawrence and Etta Funke.
