Piantino Library vacates Center

The Louis Piantino Library moved from its longtime home last week, and awaits a new location. The purchase of the building by the Acorn Group earlier this year prompted the move when a rental agreement could not be agreed. Library workers, volunteers from the Village Improvement Association and Dept. of Public Works employees tore down the stacks and transported materials to the main library on Elm Street until a new location is found.

Public Works crew helped with the first phase getting furniture out of Piantino and moving it to Ora Mason. The second phase will be to move the book collection from Piantino to the Main Library.
