The West Haven School System is conducting registration online for new students, or has in-person registration if necessary. Parents or guardians looking for registration information or to register a child should go to www.whschools.or and click on “registration” in the top blue border. The two-step process requires (Step 1) parents enter their child’s name as it appears on their birth certificate. Within 24 hours (Step 2), parents receive an email from PowerSchool@whschools.org, with instructions to create you Parent Portal account, and complete the registration process. If it does not appear in your inbox, check the junk/spam folder for the email.
Two forms of residency are required to complete the process: a current home mortgage statement or lease showing the name of the lessee and tenant’s name, along with landlord’s name and phone number; and a current (with 30 days) utility bill, gas, electric, phone, cable or water. The district does not accept a driver’s license, bank or credit card statement, insurance, tax bill or other documents not listed above.
Medical documentation showing current physical and immunization records, a birth certificate, transcripts or report cards, if applicable, and a copy of IEP or 504 plan if applicable.
