Sandy Point Neighborhood Association (SPNA) will be participating in The Great Give, sponsored by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, from May 6-7, 2026. Since The Great Give began in 2010, more than $20 million has been raised for hundreds of nonprofits.
SPNA is asking for support in this online fundraising event so that we can continue to improve our corner of West Haven. Over the past year, we have spearheaded a gardening project at Savin Rock Community School and this summer, we will pilot a neighborhood rain barrel project. Donations of $15, $25 or $50 are encouraged, although donations of any amount will be gratefully accepted. Donations to the Sandy Point Neighborhood Association are fully tax-deductible.
Those who make a contribution to the Association will automatically become a member of the Association (for those donors who live in the neighborhood boundaries) or will be added to the “Friends of the Sandy Point Neighborhood Association” and receive updates on future Association activities.

Since 2021, SPNA has promoted the Sandy Point neighborhood and has helped to build a sense of community. Association programs include frequent cleanups in the area, providing constructive input on City projects, and advocating for neighborhood improvement projects.
