The West Haven Seahawk Peewee team (6-0) stayed unbeaten with an impressive 31-6 win over the Manchester Sentinels. Javar Smith returned a kickoff for 71 yards for one score and a punt for 42 yards for another. Running back Trysten Dos ran the ball well and had two touchdowns. Jahzire Massey added another score for the Seahawks.
The defense contained a very explosive Manchester offense and was led by Deven Robinson who recorded two timely sacks. Jayden Robby and Cayden Drost stopped drives with interceptions.
The Mighty Mite team (fundamental level) played very well against the Trumbull Rangers. Jey Scanlon, TJ Nixon and Kieandre Lymon all recorded rushing touchdowns behind excellent blocking from Yusef Turner, Hagyn Davis, and Antony Iannotti. Defensive standouts were Shaylon Mitchel, Arthur Rossi and Kieandre Lymon.
The Junior Peewee team (4-2) lost a tough game to the Manchester Sentinels, 6-0. The game was a classic defensive battle with Ethan Blackwell, Emory Grate, Ethan Holy and Caleb Oakes leading the Seahawk defense.
The Junior Varsity team (5-1) suffered its first loss of the season to a very talented Hartford Hurricane team (6-0) by a score of 18-2. The Seahawks moved the ball well and were inside the red zone (20 yard line) several times only to be turned away with no points.
The Hawks’ offense was led by Hunter Messina, Nate Osborne, Bryson Robinson, Khani Wright and Preston Denno. Camyran Winder, Pearson Hill, Maxwell Warren and Konye Taylor played tough defense.
