New bakery opens

Celebrates 35!
Community Connections’ Residential Services, a program of the West Haven Community House, recently celebrated 35 years of service providing community integration and staff supports for adults with intellectual disabilities in West Haven. The Community House operates two state-licensed group homes, five apartments that off er 24-hour supervised living arrangements and individualized home supports. The 35th anniversary celebration, which took place at Anthony’s Ocean View, included more than 75 family, friends and staff of the program. Conference opener
Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz addresses the opening of the 2019 Women’s Leadership Confernce sponsored by West Haven and Orange Women in Business, a networking group of the West Haven and Orange Chambers. The conference had 200 female high school and college students, as well as local area businesswomen and chamber members and adults from across region to hear inspirational speakers from the University of New Haven, United Way of Greater New Haven and People’s United Bank. Four scholarships were awarded as part
of the event.
