Avalyn Wilder maneuvered through defenders with fancy footskills on both defense and forward. LilithBelle Warcholic played goal braving multiple penalty kicks and blocking most shots taken. In the end, two goals made by penalty kicks were too much for the girls to come back from.

The West Haven U14 girls travel team hosted Madison on Saturday where the worked to get the ball up the field, but fell short, losing 3-0. Luciana Cappetta and Madison Marion pressured the midfield to gain control of the ball.  On Sunday, they hosted Naugatuck in a battle that ended in a 1-0 loss. The West Haven U12 boys traveled to Clinton on Saturday, and won a tough battle, 6-5.  Ryan Abekah opened the scoring off a great pass from Roland Green, and then Green added a goal of his own.  Ben Trenchard launched a counterattack with a quick throw-in to Ethan Fonseca, who played a long pass for Abekah to slot home.  Julian Castillo and Mason DaSilva sprayed passes and broke up plays in the midfield, while Luca DeCrescenzo and Taha Ozhan tracked back to help the defense.  Jacob Rader, Joe Ruiz, and Collin Gibbons worked hard to block shots and clear the ball from in front of the net.  Jaxon Cruz made several world class saves late in the game with the Westies down by one to keep the game within reach.  Abekah tied the game with just minutes left.  As the dying seconds ticked away, West Haven got a shot off on net which the Clinton goalie parried away, and Jax Guarino pounced on the rebound to bang home the winner.

Baybrook Remodelers won, 2-1, against Top Hat Dance Academy.  It was a close game with Laila Clayton scoring the first goal to tie the game and Liliyani Amaro scoring for the win.  Brianna Villafane played both defense and forward aggressively, gaining back possession of the ball.
