WHEAT (West Haven Emergency Assistance Task Force) has announced the appointment of Sara Hannafin as its new Executive Director. Hannafin assumes leadership of one of West Haven’s longest-serving nonprofit organizations, which has provided food and emergency assistance to local families for more than 50 years. WHEAT currently serves approximately 1,200 families each month through its food pantry and community outreach programs. The board unanimously selected Hannafin for her dedication to community service, collaborative leadership, and commitment to helping neighbors in need. As Executive Director, she will oversee the organization’s daily operations, volunteer programs, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, and community agencies.
