Steven R. Mullins received an award from Annawon Lodge, #115, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of West Haven and the West Haven Chapter of Lions Club International in recognition of over twenty-five years of civic service to the City of West Haven at a testimonial dinner held at the lodge recently.
Mullins, who is Vice President of the Lions Club and a past master of the Masons served as West Haven Planning and Zoning Commissioner for sixteen years and Justice of the Peace for twenty-five years. He has served in the Allingtown Volunteer Fire Association for nearly twenty years, among numerous other civic positions.
Mayoral Chief of Staff and Public Works Commissioner Thomas McCarthy presented Mullins with an official citation on behalf of Mayor Nancy R. Rossi.
Other speakers included Town and City Clerk Patricia Horvath, Allingtown Fire Department Volunteer Lieutenant Sam Manuel, Councilman Victor Borras, D-8, Mullins’ wife Jean and State Masonic dignitaries.
The National Anthem was performed by soprano Vicki Joy Revere.
