West Haven Girls Basketball finished its regular season with a full slate of games on Friday night at Seth Haley. The M & S Lawncare Panthers captured the regular season championship and finished the season with a perfect 12-0 record. On Friday, the Panthers downed the Prospect Beach Club Blue Devils, 22-4. Jaecianna Mitchell exploded for 12 points and Camryn Howard and Michelle Tomkins added a combined 11 points for the Panthers. Kayla Burt and Jayda Stewart also scored for the Panthers. The Blue Devils offense was led by Siah Spence, Abby Giaquinto and Jessica Heaven.
The Gunning Law Huskies secured the second seed and finished with a record of 8-4 as they upended the third place Louise’s Bakery Cardinals, 21-17. Ariaya Smith, , Samira Huckaby and Daniella Parisi combined for the 15 points for the Huskies. Nora Grillo, Chloe Whelan and Emma McFarland also scored for the Huskies. The Cardinals scoring came from Jocelyn Avardo, Madden Evangeliste, Giana Mainor and Aniah Glover.
Jaylyn Powell, Nevaeh Stegall, Michaela Pribnow and Noelle Lawrence accounted for all the scoring in the Lacobelle Law Bruins 20-10 win over the TBNG Eagles. The Eagles were led on the offensive end by Natalia Washington, Amanda Fagnani and Amarae Rosario.
League playoffs start on Friday at Seth Haley. Semifinal games will be Wednesdayand the championship game on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7:15 p.m.
