Paier College is presenting a retrospective exhibit of 1993 graduate and former West Haven-based artist Paul Favello, who passed away in 2017.The show “A Life in Art” opened on July 8, 2023 and has been extended through Oct. 20.
The college will host a reception to celebrate the final week of the exhibition on Friday, Oct. 13 from 6-9 p.m at the Schelfhaudt Gallery, located at Paier’s new location on the University of Bridgeport campus at 84 Iranistan Ave. in Bridgeport.
Favello worked in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, assemblage, digital design, and photography. Highlighted at the exhibit will be selected works shown at Ridgefield’s Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in shows from 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2020 and in area galleries including the Spade Ely House in New Haven, the Admiral’s Club at JFK Airport, and the Michael Ingbar Gallery in Manhattan.
