West Haven Girls Basketball continued its junior division schedule with the Panthers still remaining as the league sole unbeaten team through the first seven games.
The Chuck’s Garage Panthers upended the Gunning Law Firm Huskies, 31-11, behind 10 points from Jaecianna Mitchell. Kylie Gibbons added 8 points and Jocelyn Silber and Hayden Holm also scored for the Panthers. The Huskies were led by the offense of Finley Gunning, Ella McDonnell and Taryn Walker.
The Panthers also downed the Prospect Fish and Game Blue Devils, 23-11, as Aleyia LaChance, Bria Johnson and Jaerrrah Mitchell accounted for the scoring for the Panthers. The Bruins were led by the combined 10 points from Isabella Vanbrederode, Talia Decresesnzo and Timyra Rodgers.
The Prospect Fish and Game Blue Devils upended the Emmitt’s Auto Bruins, 20-10. Annause Costello erupted for 8 points for the Blue Devils and used the offense of Terrianna Rogers and Kylie McCourt in the win. The Bruins scoring came from Vanisha Patel, Jada Turner and Sarah Went.
Denavia Pittman, Ava Oshomah and Cristel Miguel accounted for 24 points as the Oyster River Energy Cardinals rolled over the Gunning Law Huskies by a count of 35-13. Isabella Vanbredrode has 12 points to pace the Blue Devils.
Jada Turner knocked down two free throws in overtime to lead the Emmett’s Auto Bruins to a 15-13 win over the TBNG Eagles. Turner finished with 7 points on the night and Samantha Boyd, Amare Bennett and Sarah Went also scored for the Bruins. Daniela Bazar, Justice Butler and Brooklyn McCormick powered the offense for the Eagles.
The TBNG Eagles bounced back with a 17-8 win over the Oyster River Energy Cardinals behind the scoring of Adriana Gonzalez, Hailey Locus and Jayda Ciliberti. Peyton Davis, Parish Rutledge and Ava Oshomah led the Cardinal attack.
