Surfside Veterans have scheduled two events for the coming weeks.
Surfside Veterans and Budget Car Wash are sponsoring a Veterans Car Wash fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 19, at Budget Car Wash, 936 Boston Post Road, from 11-5. DJ Marc Mecca will be on hand to play during the event. Proceeds go to support Surfside Veterans LLC, and the group’s programs to help “Veterans Help Veterans.”
The second event is set for Sept. 29. The “Veterans Bash at the Beach will be a day of fun and fundraising for the organization.
Plans are incomplete, but organizers are looking for sponsorships for its ad book. Stage performances, music and special events are planned. Call Rich Deso, (860) 710-1833 or [email protected].
