    The local photo artist going under the name “Sunshine Picz” sent this photo to us recently to “Show the beauty West Haven beaches and shoreline holds.” The artist has sent us photos in the past, and has an eye for capturing exactly what is intended. This is, of course, the area behind Savin Rock proper.

    In his assessment of the city, Republican Councilman Barry L. Cohen (R-10)looks at the possible sale of the Savin Rock Conference Center, which was announced in early December. He agrees with the concept, but believes the city has to expand its sights on other parts of the municipality as well.

    West Haven High School is reminding students and families its health center is available when needed. The center is open to all students, regardless of prevailing health coverage, and includes primary care, mental health care, dental, nutrition education, health education, wellness counseling, among other offerings. To sign up for this service, a form must be completed and submitted on PowerSchool. Students do not have to agree to accept mental health care services and may solely complete the physical portion. Once submitted, students can access all services
