The West Haven Police Honor Guard leads the opening procession of city and state dignitaries, West Haven police chiefs and officers, and West Haven firechiefs, officers and firefighters to the William Soderman Memorial at Bradley Point for the annual Veterans Day observance. A large crowd assembled for the event to honor the fallen in our nation’s wars as well as those who served.

Allingtown’s firehouse on Fairfax Street is getting an added bit of storage space with an annex construction.

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) were allocated for the rehabilitation of the 55-year-old West Haven High School Pool, including the outside patio and doorways.

American Recovery Plan Act funds were used to revamp and rehab the ramp at Seth Haley School.

Hughson-Miller Post 71’s Memorial Building is being converted into apartments. Developer James McMahon hoped to preserve the building in a different way but settled for what was available.
