Pinzi, a lifelong Westie and second-generation Italian American, received the award at the Greater New Haven Italian American Heritage Festival on the West Haven Green on Saturday.

Scouts received numerous merit badges in recognition of their collective achievements along with the advancement of one Scout. Troop 821 is sponsored by the City of West Haven Fire Department, Allingtown and the Allingtown Volunteer Fire Association.
