Padilla city’s first Hispanic of the Year’

Students of the month
St. Lawrence School recently celebrated its first Students’ of the Month for September in a ceremony held at the school. Each student was awarded a pin and certificate, and the students, along with their parents, were invited to have breakfast with the pastor, the Rev. Jose Mercado and Principal Paul DeFonzo. Lesson in safety
As part of Head Start Awareness Month, preschoolers in one of the Head Start classrooms at the West Haven Community House got a visit from a few West Haven police officers. Officer Audrey Jefferson, Kim Simone, and Sergeant Charlie Young sat with the students and went over how to be safe at home, in school and in the car.
