West Haven Community House Head Start program started a new school year this week with reduced classroom sizes for the safety of teaching staff and children. The agency, which was closed earlier in the year due to the pandemic, used the time to upgrade many of its Elm Street facilities.
9/11 memorial goes 'virtual' in '20
The city will mark Patriots Day, honoring the dead of 2001 attacks. The memorial will be virtual this year due to the coronavirus. The event is usually conducted at the memorial erected its own plaque, honoring city resident Richard S Gabrielle, who died in the Twin Towers, and the first responders and workers.
